Good Hope (Steve Flacco) is a fictional superhero appearing in numerous comic books and series published by QUACK! Comics, and who also appears in other media such as film and television. Considered the most heroic in an archetypical fashion, Good Hope was first created in the United States of Quentin by Joseph Leeson and Bryce Donaldson, with his first appearance being in Thrillers of Fantasy No. 2 around 1948. Instantly becoming popular, Good Hope is recognized as one of the most widely popular of the Quentinian comic heroes, for his leadership and wide appeal, as opposed to Noir who appeals to a more targeted audience. Originally named Steve Flacco, the hero adopted the name Good Hope after an alien lifeform transferred its powers to Flacco, giving him super strength, speed, flight, and laser eyes, as well as a strange yellow glowing effect. Good Hope, who has also been referred to by the fictional media as the Star of Wonder, is depicted in many different times, though usually in the present. He is a founding member and leader of the Knights of Life, a fictional superhero group united to fight crime.

Good Hope's secret identity is that of Steve Flacco, who is a media member involved in commentating on roofball games and writing for numerous sports journals. Flacco was originally extremely immodest and vain, reveling in his stardom as a media star and famous commentator. However, after meeting Kar-Jin Il, an alien lifeform from the planet Sakkarvus, Good Hope becomes much more modest, taking in the teachings of Kar-Jin Il and eventually becoming humbled by Jin Il's death. Good Hope is usually depicted in Bakersfieldville, where he lives and works, however is also depicted around the country and around the world, as he was in the recent Good Hope: Starlight film. Among his enemies are Greenbones, a maniac who uses saws to wreak havoc, the Steel Snapper, who uses magnets and mechanics to also wreak havoc, and Doctor Storm.

Good Hope also has numerous allies, including Kar-Jin Il, who was his mentor for many months before being killed in the widely popular and best-selling Good Hope Comics #77. After the death of Kar-Jin Il, Good Hope begins a relationship with Alice Weidner, who was at first a rival and a critic of the immodest Steve Flacco, but who soon sees that he has changed and reciprocates his affection. In most iterations and storylines, Weidner does not know of Flacco's secret identity, though in some she does find out. April July is a teenager of 19 who does know of Flacco's secret identity, and besides being an intern at Flacco's sports media company, also assists him in finding criminals and serving justice. Other allies include Clint Wright, the commissioner of the Interdepartmental Committee on Extraordinary Crime, Samuel Darnold, a local police chief who tolerates Good Hope's exploits and occasionally assists him, and Popperman, who is Good Hope's sidekick for four years until 1978, when he joins the Knights of Life as an independent hero. Even after becoming independent, however, Popperman still works with Good Hope.
