Language families on Venturia are groups of languages which derive from the same original tongue, or which share numerous similarities due to interconnectivity and exchange over many years. These language families contain many of the most used languages today, and are listed below as defined by the Venturian Union. The list includes the name of the language family, the number of languages included in the family, derivation, number of speakers, geographical position, and most popular languages in each family. The number of languages includes those extinct languages, and ones not often used. Additionally, there may be population overlap due to multilingualism.

List

Currently, the most widespread language family is the Royal Northern Language Family, which includes among others the languages of English and Farmine. The family has languages spoken by 5.24 billion people globally, nearly half the world population. All the languages below include areas where they are most prominently spoken, however this description is extremely generalized, and does not come close to describing the many linguistic pockets and eccentricities across the world. Additionally, the description of derivation is oversimplified; for a more comprehensive derivation, explore the language family's specific pages.
