History

The flag was originally created in 1805 for The Territories of Quentin, the predecessor to the USQ, and was the official flag of the Territories throughout its existence, flying alongside the Flag of Megatridimensional Order. In 1823 the flag flew alone in the Territories after the Quentinian Declaration of Independence was released. Throughout the Quentinian War for Independence the flag was used by the Territories in battle, and when the new USQ was born after victory in 1830, it was designated as the official flag of the new country. The flag was originally designed in 1805 by Steve Maxxsmith, a local designer in Baltimore. The Territorial Assembly loved the design, and with Maxxsmith's permission, the flag went into use. For all of the USQ's history the flag has been used, and the flag is very sacred to the Quentinians, perhaps more so than any other country. In the USQ, destroying of the flag in any way is a crime punishable by 50-75 years in prison, and in certain battles throughout history the flag has been a signal of hope for the USQ army, and when one is destroyed by opposing armies, it serves as a catalyst for revenge for the USQ.
