Vehementiaball is not a very complex sport. The following is an excerpt from [[The UVL Official Rulebook]]: "Vehementiaball is played on a rectangular turf field, with a length of 60 yards, and a width of 50 yards. In the middle of the field, there is a circle, with a circumference of 62 yards, and a radius of 10 yards, with a line drawn through a diameter. At the two ends of the field are 1 goal for each end, square shaped, with a height of 7 feet. The game is set up with all 16 players, 8 from both sides, all arranging themselves as they wish inside the center circle. The game begins when the referees line up outside the circle, and they blow their whistles to signal the start. The 16 players then will attempt to knock each other down inside the confines of the center circle, using whatever methods they wish, as long as they do not violate any of the penalties applying to regular play, which can be found in the 'Penalties' section. When a player from either side is knocked down, they must vacate the circle. This will continue on for 4 minutes, or until all players from one team have been knocked down, and at the end of the period, the team with the most players remaining in the circle will win possession of the ball. Once the winning team has been awarded the ball, all 8 players on the winning team will line up at the 20 yard line, and choose a formation to line up in. The defense will line up opposite the offense, and may not cross the line of play (Defined in the lines of play section). The offense will then attempt to get the ball down to the other team's goal, by either passing or running the ball. The ball alone must enter, and an offensive player cannot enter the goal.

The United Vehementiaball League, abbreviated as the UVL, was founded in 1947, by a group of businessmen, including Paul Leidigh. It was the second of The United States of Quentin's national sports, after The Quentinian Roofball Organization. The league had a team in every state by 1961, and quickly became almost as popular as the QRO. Vehementiaball does not have leagues in other countries, however there are 4 games a year that the UVL holds as International UVL Games, which are just regular games held internationally, usually close allies of the USQ, such as The Protectorates of Allia, Carkhia, and Ravensonia. Vehementiaball is not an event at the annual Sidus Dei Ludos, because it is not professionally played anywhere other than the USQ, and adding it as an event, says The Sidus Dei Ludos Committee, would mean having to add 3 more events to one of the games, either Summer or Winter, to satisfy the Republic of Megatridimensional Order, with their refusal to participate in the games unless the number of events are a multiple of 3.

Rules and How to Play

Vehementiaball is not a very complex sport. The following is an excerpt from The UVL Official Rulebook: "Vehementiaball is played on a rectangular turf field, with a length of 60 yards, and a width of 50 yards.
