In 1799, the city of Lindin in Snowland had grown significantly since it was founded a year earlier, and that year the city approved for a group of settlers to leave the city and establish a new city to be a part of The Territories of Quentin, which was at the time a territory of the Republic of Megatridimensional Order. In early 1800, the settlers departed the city and set out west. In September of that same year the settlers found a suitable spot for the new city, on the shores of the Gulf of Creed. They called it Jameisville, after founder of the territories and leader Kindy Bost-Jameson.
Starting in 1805, the territories demanded statehood from the MTO, and protests began. Jameisville originally did not protest as much as other cities, such as Mechanicsburg or Baltimore, but when the Order Guard was sent in to the country, the city began to protest. Things escalated, and Jameisville became the city with the most violent and destructive protests, with hundreds dying during this period.

Although much of the rest of Snowland has a large Aspkausian population when it comes to ethnicity, Jameisville has a much smaller population of Aspkausians, as its qualities as a center of industry and commerce have made it a center of immigration in the past, with workers looking for factory work. Currently, the city has a 51% majority of Zwakanavs, with 40% being Aspkausians, 5% being Gadoupes, 3% being Jumange, and the rest of other or unspecified ethnicity.
Religion
Jameisville has a majority Christian population, much like the rest of the state. Nearly 86% of all citizens in the city identify as Christian, with 80% following Quentinian Christianity and the rest following Allian Christianity. Followers of Rationalism and Trinitism make up 10% of the population, with 2% following Skethianity and the rest following either Reformed Hatvism, no religion, or another religion. This vast Christian majority means there are numerous churches in the city, the major ones being Second Street Bakers Church, Third Weber National Unity Church, United Messiah of Jameisville River, and Brian Joseph Liberal Church. The first two churches belong to the Weber National Church denomination, while the third belongs to the United Messiah Church and the fourth is part of the Liberal United Messiah Church. By far the largest, however, is the Prayers to Our Lord Church, a part of the Allian Church.
