Head Nations of the VU Legislative Congress
Head Nations of the VU Legislative Congress are the member nations of the Venturian Union, an international peacekeeping organization, tasked with leading the Venturian Union Legislative Congress and its operations. This includes receiving recommendations for legislation from the General Assembly and voting on the recommendations, as well as sending recommendations for resolutions and other proclamations to the General Assembly. Legislation in the VU is defined as a resolution passed by the Legislative Congress which addresses either Venturian Union rules and policy or addresses global issues not having to do with economics or security. Like the other two sub-General Assembly bureaus (the Bureau of Economics and the Bureau of Security), the Legislative Congress has five head nations, with the General Assembly voting every three years on which nations should fill these spots. Of the five positions, three are up for election every three years, as New Sketherlands and the United States of Quentin hold permanent head nation status within the Legislative Congress. This means neither country gives up its seat for election every three years.
The most recent vote by the General Assembly on the head nations of the Legislative Congress was on January 7th, 2021. Along with the permanent Quentinian and Skethish membership, the delegations from Fyñe, Comdantri Nortellus, and Xevenia were selected to fill the remaining three head nation positions within the Congress. Each head nation sends one delegate to act as the representative for the country, although numerous officials may deal with the bureau and represent the country in day-to-day proceedings.

Below is a list of the former head nations of the Legislative Congress, being a list of all election terms in Venturian Union history, along with the three head nations selected in each term. Additional candidates are noted, along with the number of votes they received, however New Sketherlands and the United States of Quentin are excluded from this list, due to their permanent member status. In the case of a tie, the two head nations serve as tiebreaker. There is currently no procedure in the event that the two countries cannot agree on a tiebreaker nation, as it has never before occurred.
