State Executive Boards in the government of Long Beach Island (LBI) are the principal units of the state's executive branch, which is headed by the Governor and carries out the state and federal law. The executive boards are similar to the United States of Quentin federal executive departments, only they apply to the state level, are headed by a governor and not the President, and are named differently. Established by the Constitution of Long Beach Island, ratified in 1895, there are currently 11 executive boards in the state, unified under what is known as the Governor's Cabinet.
