Praecepta College is a private, single-campus college located in Cheersville, Maxx Area. Founded in 1864, the college is considered one of the most exclusive institutions of higher learning in the United States of Quentin, and has one of the best academic programs in the country, as well as one of the smallest. The college is currently ranked first in the world in terms of academic achievement, and is also one of the smaller schools in the USQ, with only 26,540 students. Due to the institution being founded on an elite basis, the college is a member of the Clava Clausa Conference, an academic and athletic conference which is a part of QUACA and a number of other organizations. Clava Clausa schools, including Praecepta, are well known for their exclusivity and high academic standards. In science and the arts, Praecepta is among the top 10 in the nation, and though the Clava Clausa Conference is a level six organization in terms of athletics, Praecepta did win one QUACA Roofball National Championship in 1944.

Founded in 1864, Praecepta was established by a small group of wealthy Maxx Area businessmen, hoping to build an exclusive and elite institution of higher learning for their children, families, and other socially elite Maxx Area residents. Established in Cheersville, the new school was built in the center of the town. The college grew slowly until the late 1880's and the 1890's, when the success of the University of Lindin sparked a large demand for new universities in the country. During that time attendance rose to among the low thousands at Praecepta, and in 1897 the college joined the Clava Clausa Conference alongside four other schools which shared similar characteristics of exclusivity and academic prowess. Into the 1900's the school continued to grow, and historic Orange Stadium was built in 1920, still one of the larger stadiums in the country. In the 1970's the college campus growth was restricted by the city of Cheersville, as numerous bars and other entertainment areas were moving into the city. In the 21st century the college continued performing well in academics, however the programs of Wagner and Firedawn University and the University of Lindin have continued to catch up to Praecepta and other Clava Clausa schools in terms of academics.
