The Punctinaturalland Civil War was a conflict that took place in Punctinaturalland from 1866-1868, after a region of northern Punctinaturalland, generally referred to as Puntinians, declared itself independent from the rest of the nation. This came after the Final Punctin Wars, resulting in economic ruin and poverty for much of the country. After two years of fighting, the Puntinians won, with the help of financial and logistical support from The United States of Quentin.

Causes

In 1863, Punctinaturalland fought a war against The United States of Quentin called The Final Punctin Wars. The current leader, Hojkxsz Franzon, got into the war because of low support from the citizens of PNL. Historians believe the leader thought the war would be an easy victory, however it was the exact opposite, with the USQ forces completely overwhelming Punctinaturalland, and in The Treaty of Nine, Punctinaturalland ceded numerous territories as well as economic benefits, creating economic ruin and poverty, especially in the north which depended on cheap Quentinian trade.

This obviously did not sit well with the Puntinians, and talk of seceding grew. An attempt at reconciliation was made with The 1864 Punctin Reconciliation Conference, however it never came to fruition, and after the Puntinians seceded in 1865, the Punctin military started the war by attempting to suppress the insurrection.
