The Jameisville Elves are a professional Roofball team that plays in the Quentinian Roofball Organization. Founded in 1961, they have never won the QRO Champions Cup, one of three teams to never do so. They play in the city Jameisville, are a part of the Eastern Roofball Conference (ERC), and in that conference, they play in the ERC Northeast, with the Lindin Founders and the Fort McCarthy Liberators. Their current stadium, Kindy Bost-Jameson Field, is the first ever to be built in the QRO, and it is where the Founders Traditional Cup is held each year, as well as other traditional games, like the Champions Cup every 10 years. It is also designated as a federal national monument. Currently their head coach is Mari Befril, and the team owner is Edward Utah.

History

The Elves were not founded until 1961, the youngest team in the league, besides the Verisitium Vipers. Their history is not one of the richer, or more successful in the league, never having won the Champions Cup.

Rivalries

Lindin Founders

One of the most intense rivalries the Elves have had with a team is their divisional rival, the Lindin Founders. The two teams are the only two teams to play in non-peninsular Snowland, and their geographic closeness and the fact that they have played many times over the years and often for the division title has made it a heightened rivalry. The rivalry has not been constantly significant to the league, however, as the Elves' failure to win and the Founders' dominance over the all-time record of Elves-Founders games makes it less significant than it is on years when the Elves have a good team put together.

Fort McCarthy Liberators

The rivalry with the Fort McCarthy Liberators, the Elves' other divisional rival, is less intense than the Founders rivalry, mainly because of the distance between the two teams. However, there have been some good games involving the two teams throughout the years, and the Hut Call Game of the 1972 season was one of the most memorable games in the Elves' history.

Logos and Uniforms

Logos

The Jameisville Elves logo consists of a black oval, with a mythical elf, the main mascot and logo of the Elves, in the center. The elf is holding up one finger, signaling that the Jameisville Elves are "#1," and the team's name is spelled out in white lettering on the right side of the elf. Finally, to the left of the elf is the date the Elves were established, 1961. The logo was created for the team in the 1970's, after simply using the elf mascot as their official logo for the first decade of their existence. Recently, the black background of the logo has drawn criticism from fans, as many fans have expressed the desire for a lighter and more modern feel to the color and outline of the logo. However, it has stayed the same thus far, and others argue that changing it would be a break from tradition.

The Elves, like most other teams in the QRO, also have an alternate logo, which is smaller but more modern, having been created in the late 1990's. The alternate logo consists of A green oval, with a smaller orange oval inside, with Jameisville spelled out in bold green letters, with the elf pointing to a single orange star. The elf is tilted in the alternate logo. Their wordmark logo consists of their team name, with green and orange waves.

Uniforms

Current Uniforms

The Jameisville Elves currently have four uniforms, their home uniform, away uniform, alternate uniform, and tournament uniform. Each uniform has both long sleeve and short sleeved versions, though all 4 always have shorts.

Roster

The Elves roster currently includes 21 players, 11 starters and 10 alternates. Their starting lineup is as follows:
