Iudicium
History
Earliest historical documents mention a Comdantri Nortellus fishing village called "Sunset," believed to be located on what is now known as Blood Beach, at the foot of the cliffs of Iudicium proper. In the early 1900s, the village was abandoned at approximately the same time that Megatridimensional Order settlers began building at the top of the cliffs. Though believed to be another Order hostile takeover of land and people, in 1992, documents were discovered which showed the Order purchased the village, the beach and most of the Iudicium city center for ŧ75,000, far more than what it was worth.
Founding
The city was founded in 1801 by a group of settlers that broke off from the Quentinian Party. The settlers had come from Telembria, and were part of a new nation, called the Republic of Megatridimensional Order, that was being created. By 1805, the city was thriving, due mostly in part to close proximity to The Logan River and the hardworking mentality of the citizens there. By that time, the area Mechanicsburg was in had become organized, and grouped together as The Territories of Quentin. They were under rule from the MTO, however they did have their own government, The Territorial Assembly, and Mechanicsburg was chosen as the capital for the Territories in 1805.
