The Maximum City Pitch Black is a professional Roofball team that plays in The Quentinian Roofball Organization. Founded in 1950, they are a part of The Eastern Roofball Conference, and The ERC Northwest division, with The Boston Privateers and The West Snowy Grinders. They have won 3 QRO Champions Cups, one in 1950, one in 1966, and one in 2002. Currently their head coach is Ethan Looers, and their owner is Gary Bowerse.

History

The Pitch Black were founded in the QRO in 1952 by their first owner and pioneer of the sport Erin Lebus. She revolutionized the game by spreading it out, using the whole length of the blacktop, which was an alternative to the physical, middle of the blacktop play that had been popular up to that point. Due to this style of play that left defenses shocked and defenseless, they won The QRO Champions Cup in only their first year. They seemed almost unstoppable, and in 1951 they were in the Conference Title game. In the 10th dime they seemed poised to win and get to the Cup, however in the final seconds Drew Kearse dropped a ball that would've put them up by 50, and in the final drive of the game The Mechanicsburg Businessmen hit on a 40 point top-roof play, which gave them the win 370-360.
