Housefires (Lilian Beck) is a fictional superhero appearing in numerous QUACK! Comics comic book series, as well as numerous other media. Created in 1949 by Elizabeth Mochrey, Housefires is one of only two (or three depending on the Green Sparrow) cinematic, top tier QUACK! heroes to be female, though many lower tier heroes and allies of the main heroes are female. Housefires was first depicted in Crimes Against Fun #3, and has the alter-ego of Lilian Beck, a gymnast who is a former police officer and soldier. Housefires is often depicted in the Knights of Life superhero group as a stabilizing force, attempting to be a mediator and leader of the group when conflicts between heroes such as Good Hope and Noir arise.

Notable for her fire powers, super speed and agility, eyesight, and levitation, Lilian Beck first adopted the name Housefires after she responded to a fire in her hometown of Liberation City, DA, and after being engulfed by the flames, gained powers. This came as the result of a gene she possessed which turned the fire inwards, and allows her to control it.
