The Fort McCarthy Defense Force Installation is a federal military installation of the United States of Quentin based in the city of Fort McCarthy. Established in 1849, the installation is a part of the larger Fort McCarthy defense complex, which houses defense and intelligence agencies from both the state and federal governments. The installation serves as the headquarters of the Fort McCarthy Defense Force, the main domestic defense force of the nation's federal government, and is known along with the overall fort as one of the most secure areas in the world.
